13th International Symposium on Fireworks (ISF)

The International Symposium on Fireworks Society in collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) and the Malta Fireworks Association (MFA), is organizing the 13th International Symposium on Fireworks. The International Symposium on Fireworks is recognized as the premier forum for the presentation of papers and the discussion of topics dealing with the safety, scientific, engineering, artistic, and regulatory aspects of fireworks and other pyrotechnics associated with entertainment and celebration.
Papers concerned with the following traditional areas are invited:
  • Fireworks Process and Use Safety
  • Chemistry and Physics of Fireworks and other Associated Pyrotechnic Devices
  • Sensitivity of Fireworks Compositions
  • Perchlorate and the Environment
  • Explosion and Fragment Mitigation Methodologies
  • The Art and History of Fireworks The Art and Technology of Special Effects
  • Regulations and Standards
  • New Concepts in Manufacturing, Transportation and Storage
  • Other Related Topics
Abstracts of approximately 200 words should be submitted by October 1, 2011, by e-mail to the ISF Directors indicated below.

Authors will be informed of acceptance of papers for the Symposium by November 15, 2011 and completed manuscripts must be received by February 1, 2012 in order that the Proceedings may be printed and bound in time for the Symposium start date.
