Chrysanthemum shells, also called &lsquo;warimono&rsquo; (which means hard-breaking shell&rsquo;), produce uniquely beautiful effects by creating patterns resembling chrysanthemums on the background of the sky. Until now, the design of chrysanthemum shells has been based entirely on the manufacturer&rsquo;s experience and intuition.
